VA will host a National Day of Service September 11 at more than 60 national cemeteries to honor our nation’s service members, police, fire, and first responders on the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The day of service will include opportunities for volunteers to clean headstones and participate in other beautification activities.
VA is partnering with several non-profit organizations, including Carry The Load, to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities to mark the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

VA also invites family, friends, and loved ones on this day to visit the Veterans Legacy Memorial to post photos and tributes on a Veteran’s page.
