Service to the Armed Forces Red Cross is sponsoring a Battle of the Branches Blood Drive! May and June are statistically low months for blood collection which is scary because summer brings great demand for blood. Our drive will be Tuesday, May 16 from 11:00 – 4:00 at the Hilton Charlotte Airport, 2800 Coliseum Drive, Charlotte.

We are hoping that a little friendly competition could make the blood drive super fun! At the drive there will be containers with each branch of the Armed Forces crests on them. Each person who donates will be given a ticket to drop in the container of their branch of service. You don’t have to be a Veteran to donate, you can donate blood, then vote for the branch of a family member, friend, neighbor or anybody! It’s a true win-win. The Red Cross gains much needed blood from generous donors AND the winning branch gets bragging rights and their branch name on a trophy that will be displayed at the Red Cross all year until the next Battle of the Branches.
