2022 Operation Purple Healing Adventures (militaryfamily.org)
Operation Purple Healing Adventures welcomes wounded, ill, injured, medically separated, or medically retired military families to take part in uniquely designed resiliency building activities that help each family member’s growth after a service member’s injury.
May 20-24 YMCA Camp Widjiwagan is located 16 miles from Nashville, Tennessee on the magical shores of Percy Priest Lake. The camp provides a perfect place for relaxing, making memories and safe adventures! Our overnight accommodations have carpet, air-conditioning and cleanliness so “roughing it” is an outside activity. We strive to make sure that even the non-outdoors guests are comfortable when eating, sleeping or showering. At some point you will probably ask yourself “is this really a camp?” We go above and beyond to provide traditional and original camp activities like: canoeing, swimming, climbing, exploring and more! Come hang out with us for the weekend to have some family fun and meet other military families.
Jun 24-26 YMCA Estes Park Center is adjacent to Rocky Mountain National Park and less than a 2 hour drive from Denver, Colorado. The camp offers inspiring views and plenty of activities to keep families busy. Each family will have their own private room and bathroom. And just to name some of the fun things that will occur over the weekend include horseback riding, axe throwing, teambuilding skills, miniature golf, roller skating, archery, climbing wall, arts and crafts and to many more to mention. Come join us and other military families for some fresh air and to help make incredible family memories and meet new friends.
Sep 9-11YMCA Camp Cullen is nestled among tall pines on 530 acres along the shores of Lake Livingston. The camp offers a fantastic experience in a beautiful atmosphere for families to enjoy. Spend your day horseback riding, flying down the zipline, aiming for the target at archery and so many more family fun activities. If you just want to sit back, relax and appreciate the setting, we suggest sitting in the rocking chairs overlooking the parade lawn or try your hand at a round of ladder golf. At night families will enjoy a smore around the fire before turning into their own cabins with private bathrooms. Come hang out in Trinity, Texas for the weekend with us and other military families.
