About this Event
The Warrior Alliance is hosting a series of Town Hall Forums that identify issues/solutions facing the Veteran Service Organization (VSO) community amidst the social unrest. We aim to inspire and empower these organizations and our veteran community to take collective action to strive towards improved racial and social justice in our community.
The Town Halls Series will focus on four critical pathways for change:
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion in the VSO sector (Sept. 15, 2020)
Social Activism & Community Engagement (Feb. 23, 2021)
Advocacy & Legislative Solutions (April 20, 2021)
Framing the Narrative/Telling our Story (August 24, 2021)
Purpose
The purpose of this event is to learn about the historical context of social movements in our country and lessons learned for empowering the next generation of leaders to engage in constructive social activism with a lens through the eyes of veterans and military members.
