Doors Open at 11:00 am – 2:30 pm

Please join Trellis Supportive Care and sponsors, our regional community and millions of people around the world in recognizing the 75th Anniversary of D-Day.  On June 6, 1944 Allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy.  “Operation Overlord” was a brutal and bloody battle, but successful and was the beginning of the end for Adolph Hitler and the Third Reich.

On Wednesday, June 5, Trellis Supportive Care will be hosting a very special lunch event to recognize the importance of this international anniversary, and to celebrate the lives of the men and women who served during WWII, some who actually participated in D-Day.

The event will be held in the special event center at the Richard Childress Racing facilities in Welcome NC.  Doors open at 11:00 am for this special lunch and program.  The program will take a meaningful look at the event that shaped the history of the 20th Century.  There will be entertainment, vintage military items and vehicles to see, and a special introduction of each WWII Veteran in attendance.  There will also be a special area where our attendees can meet and greet some of the WWII Veterans.  The event will end at 2:30 pm.

After the recognition of our WWII Veterans, we will also be honoring and recognizing Veterans from other eras and wars.  This will also be a meaningful part of the day, with hundreds of these Veterans in attendance.

There will be other activities for our attendees as well, including a special raffle and plenty of time to visit with our sponsors at their tables.  There are marketing opportunities for our sponsors.

The Richard Childress Racing Museum will be open at no charge after the lunch for our attendees to enjoy.

We expect to have well over 700 attendees, including WWII and other Veterans, their families, and the community.   Our event will be a part of many events around the world recognizing the D-Day Anniversary.

Because of the support of our sponsors, the event is free, for all Veterans and one guest each.  Admission for all others is only $10 each.  Sponsors, depending on what level they participate at, will have tickets as part of their support package.
