May 16 SUP 3rd Annual Art By Veterans Exhibit, Charlotte

3rd Annual Art By Veterans Exhibit: “Expressions of Resilience, healing and hope”

Thursday, May 16th from 10:00am – 2:00pm

This art show is an opportunity for Veterans, especially those who have had difficulty with emotional well-being, to raise awareness about mental health concerns commonly faced by the Veteran population.  Additionally, the show allows us to recognize Mental Health Month and will teach others about the many contributions our Veterans regularly make to our communities each and every day.

Beginning Monday, May 6th,   9:00am, artists can drop off their work and registration at the Charlotte VA Health Care Center-Kannapolis Lake Clinic (3rd floor).  The public display will be in the main lobby, Thursday, May 16th from 10:00am until 2:00pm. Artists are welcome to stay for the exhibit to discuss their art with attendees. After the program,  all art should be collected by Monday, May 20th.

All works must be screened for approval by VA staff. Although we will do our best to protect your submissions, we are not responsible for any lost or damaged art. By entering this event, you give the Salisbury VA permission to take pictures of your artwork which may be reproduced on VA websites and/or in VA publications. In addition to space and size restrictions, please note that certain works, themes, or styles may not be appropriate for this public recovery-oriented forum.
