On Saturday October the 12th, the Founders of The US Veterans Hall of Fame, and other veterans, will
embark on their 2nd annual walk/ ruck of awareness: “ Operation New Dawn : Mission Forward ”.
This *20 mile walk will be used to create awareness of the 20 veterans that we lose to suicide daily in the United States, due to social and mental health issues. *doing 16 - 1.27 mile laps
This event is a powerful awareness spotlight being held in conjunction with the Mental Health America of Central Carolinas and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention collaborative: Out Of The Darkness community walk , with activities beginning at 12 noon. **please visit www.afsp.org/charlotte for details
We encourage everyone in the community, to walk one step, one block or one mile with our veterans, as we show our fellow veterans that we care and that they are needed! Bike riders are encouraged as well
